My wouldn't start today, but my battery was fine. The fuel pump kicks on but the engine never turns. It has done this before, but I let it sit for a while then it started right up like a champ. Is there anyway to check if my starter is good and how far does just putting starter fluid in go? Please help me someone don't want to spend $115 if i dont have to

 

Have you checked for spark?

 

what do you mean

 

check all the wires coming off the starer, grounds and all, take ur hot wire and ur ground wire off the starter, and touch them for a split second, if it sparks, then ur connections are good

 

seems like a main relay problem...... if it gets too hot it wont crank , but if u let it sit for 30secs and try again it works.

 

if ur car is a stick, check your clutch relay cable....its right above your clutch pedal, make sure everthing is plugged in. Sounds dumb but it happened to me and had to have my car towed (i had AAA so it was free). So yea, check those. Good luck, bro
