I'm somewhat new to the rules of autocross. I've gotta get myself a rulebook, but i recently learned that to stay in H stock i can have adjustable shocks with stock springs, and a front swaybar. so i'm looking for adjustable shocks. any recommendations on a good shock that isnt too expensive? I expect to spend a little money, just nothing ridiculous.
Also any other suspension tips to stay Hstock would be awesome, thanks a lot.

Relatively new hmm...
Spend $0 on suspension and every penny on more events. Seriously I can bet you my last penny that spending $1000 on events will make you faster than the same $1000 on suspension goodies.
I know thats not the answer you were looking for. Seat time is the the biggest difference between a good autoxer and a mediocre one. Once you have sufficient events under your belt analyze what your long term goals are. Then you can a) spend money on modifications or b) move to another car.
I can jump in your car and go 2 seconds faster than you, many others in this forum could go 3-4 seconds faster. In autoxing thats like an eternity.
Yellows are good shocks, you only really need super stiff rears. If you want to go budget get OEM replacement fronts and yellow rears. But, I would still recommend getting more seat time.

heyhey i said i was new to autoxing not driving. i understand seat time is very important, the guy ahead of me in hstock was about 4 seconds ahead. he was in a mini with race tires and had a shitload of seat time. awesome driver. his car also doesnt roll as ridiculously as mine does. thats why i would like stiffer shocks. cant use my tires to full potential wehn im leaning on them so bad, am i correct? for a newbie you'd be surprised how quickly i begin to make time and how well i drive. not to try to be cocky though, im just going by what ive been told. i just love it so much and do everything i can to improve. thanks for the input guys. i appreciate it. there's two more local events for the season, hittin up both of those and im going all out when the season opens back up in the spring. on average, how much are koni yellows a piece?
about $129 each. Buy them from Chris at http://www.redshiftmotorsports.com/suspension.htm
Its nice to support a racer, and Chris knows his stuff; hes willing to answer any questions about suspension tuning on hondas.

While seat time is the most important thing, there is also the fact that worn components need to be replaced.
It's not like he wants to spend $2000 on coilovers. Shocks are a needed replacement for any autox car (unless the car is relatively new) in my opinion. And in some cases the factory shocks are so bad even a car straight off the showroom floor needs different ones.
I'd recommend the Tokico Illumina or the Koni Yellow, with the Koni being my first choice.
And please don't mix and match shock brands. That's just an ill-handling car waiting to happen.

Really? I've got a trophy to prove you wrong! Bilsteins up front and SPSS Koni's out back did pretty well.
I guess the car should be handling worse now with the Penske's up front?
