puzzling shaking with car
when i acclerate my car shakes( it feels like a bump in my tire but there isnt one) I had my lower control arm bnolt break, i have replaced that and i also replaced my axles but for some reason when i drive wether im coasting in nuetral or accelerating i have a shake. my lugs arent loose, i was thinking my tires might be out of balance or something need help tho.
if it shakes under a light load like going up a slight hill accelerating in second lugging then it is your axle. buy another new/reman one have had to do this more than once.
just jack up the front of your car and grab the tires and give them a few jiggles in different directions. Feel for any play or loosness. Grab your tire at the 9 and 3 oclock position and wiggle it back and forth. If you feel any play, that would suggest possible worn tie-rod ends or wheel bearings. Then grab the tire at the 12 and 6 oclock position and do the same thing. Any play there would indicate worn cv joints or ball joints. Any one of those things could cause shaking. I'd check those things first before you start throwing new parts at it.
