Default Intakes from Ebay

i am new to this performance stuff so here it goesintake from ebay are very cheaper compared to AEM! but do they get the job done as should other intake, i have heard that they heat up too much.. so should i stay away from ebay intake, i was planing on buying cold intake with bypass for arounf $70 Any advice

cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/94-97-HONDA-ACCORD-4CYL-COLD-AIR-INTAKE-BYPASS-VALVE-C_W0QQitemZ8013596602QQcategoryZ38634QQssPageNameZ WDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

i bought like a 30 dollar short ram from ebay, and its just fine. you can easily find plenty of topics about the intake and bypass valve if you simply do a search

For the most part, with AEM you are paying for the same metal with a sticker on it (and the license plate frame) Like was said before, ebay intake piping with a K&N filter will do the job, the filter is whats gonna cause the most difference in this case.

The bypass really isn't extremely necessary. Unless you drive through bigass puddles for fun.

My lude is slammed with the filter in front of the fender well. It does just fine...

what is K&N filter going to do that the ebay filter can not???
It's the same "sticker" on that K&N filter that makes it expensive....

you are also paying for a CARB certification, K&N filter and anodized aluminum...but yes, a pipe is generally a pipe...i've actually grown quite fond of my stock intake (minus the resonator box) with a k&n drop in filter...you are still getting fresh air, and a nice tone, but it looks real nice in the engine bay...

I used to live in Houston too, for a couple of years. I got pulled over 7 times in the first year I lived in Katy (suburb of Houston). It was absolutely rediculous. Each time I got pulled over I was driving absolutely normal... no speeding, no light out, driving perfectly straight and sober.. i mean seriously, pulled me over for the way it looked. They all said some or all of the following - "your car is too low, your headlights are too bright, your corner lights are illegal, your exhaust is too loud, your seatbelt wasn't on (it was)" - bullshit things to pull you over for. So I don't blame you there one bit.

Good luck in Houston.

BTW: do you know Brad Boyd "shift@8k" or Gary Gerhardt ?
