Default Ebay intake noise level?

Somebody that has a ebay intake with a K&N filter, how much louder is the ebay intake under normal driving conditions? If it is way louder, then I will just stay with a stock airbox. So please respond if it gets louder under normal driving conditions...

Ebay makes intakes? Or you got one off ebay

The intake is going to be not noticeable at all just cruising. But under WOT or hard acceleration there will be a definite difference.

I had a Injen short ram with K&N and it was pretty loud at WOT but a very mean sound. I have since went with a CAI from ebay with K&N and it is a lot quieter. Just a step above the stock airbox.

I know its not a K&N in the pic but it has been swapped and they sound the exact same anyways.

i think he means the no-name intakes off ebay.

i got one, and yes it does hiss at idle. other than the hiss, it sounds good.

Most of the no-name intakes on ebay are either R1 or OBX.

It's a TUBE with an Airfilter at the end of it. why would it be any different if you used an INJEN or AEM with the same filter?

After market Intakes Hiss at idel. Sound of better Airflow if you ask me. AEM FILTERS are Loud most likely due to the Airhorn design. I know this cause I put the AEM filter on a friend's "EBAY" intake pipe and it sounded JUST LIKE the AEM CAI.
Conversly I placed the EBAY filter on the AEM CAI tube and it didn't make the NOISE.

Both are louder than a STOCK system with "AIR SILENCER" (Big hunk of plastic under your finder)

I never really realized that much difference in noise going to a CAI but then again the silencer was removed from the car when I bought it.

It's only louder if you really get on it.

the differences between the two aren't really much, unless you are from california.
