Default Hood wont close!!!!!! with my b18a1 swap?????????/

Im putting a built b18a1 into my 2000 si. i modified the drivers side bracket mount....
although my buddy is telling me i wont be ablt to close my hood or i will have to get a mustang center scoop style hood....


i havent put the motor in yet...

someone please tell me this is bullshit.

someone tell me this is buillshit, it would suck to have a mustang hood or a hood that doesnt close.

ive never heard of that with a b18... maybe the b20 vtec, as long as you used the right mounts

theres an underskeleton that cause that problem. most likely its hitting your valve cover or unless ur running ps. look at the underskeleton and see whats its hitting and cut it or hit or which ever way u need to do to get rid of it.

How did you "modify" your mount? My motor is in my EG, which I'm pretty sure is the same as an EK, and my hood closes.

it should be no problem at all everybody in the world has a 1.8l swap in a ek chassis and ive never heard of that problem use stock si mounts from a b16 ive only ever heard of hood issues on efs
