Default Looking to go turbo, what do i need to get?

want to know what u think and what u may already have. There are some rich kids around here with Evo's and SRT-4's and i want to shut them up this spring.
Basicly what I'm asking is, what will i need to get either b4 or after i get my turbo?
Like fuel injectors, and pump. What kinds are good. Any headwork needed, or is there better heads from another motor I could use or any good after market ones?

Also, does anyone know a better ecu for my 97 gsr? I have a big problem with it, vtec doesnt kick in, i have searched to fix the problem and no sucsess. Possibly an ecu that has no speed gov. and also one that allows vtec to come on at around 4700 rpm. thanks

As other people have said, you MUST SEARCH. These are VERY general questions. To narrow down your search, as yourself these questions:
1. How much do you want to spend?
2. How much power do you want to make?
3. What is the final goal of your vehicle?

How have you determined that Vtec doesn't "kick in"? Vtec isn't some big turbo-like boost where you feel it all the time. Hell, sometimes you don't even hear it. If you indeed aren't getting Vtec, check your oil level first. Is your car throwing any codes?

Your ECU does NOT have a speed governor. All USDM Integras do not have one. You do NOT need an aftermarket ECU. It will do nothing for your car.

I think he's talking about the RPM fuel cut-off. I agree though, there's no reason to have an aftermarket ECU with a stock set-up since your car wont make any more HP at a higher RPM.

However, it you are planning on 'going turbo', you should look into Hondata or other EMS.

What whp gains are you looking for???? Have you searched this topic. I know you say you have searched the new ECU for your 97 GSR but have you truly search? I found quite a few results man...

well, the biggest problem i have is that b4 i bought the car, it was stolen. then the guy i bought it from got it at an auction, and he had to put in a ecu b/c it was cut out of the car. the wireing is all f**ked up and idk if its b/c of the wireing or a bad ecu. the ecu was a "remanufactered" one. but yea, i'm pissed cuz i never had vtec kick in.
the car keeps throwing out codes, ive checked on them, they are:
-cel code 91 fuel low pressure so im gettin HORRABLE gas mileage!!!
-cel code 3 i belive, the MAP one but the prev. owner got a new MAP senser and no luck
and finnally
-cel code 22 vtec pressure valve

i have spent hours of research on the codes and tied to fix em' but no luck

PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you working on this car yourself? You do realize a turbo car will require a bit more maintainence and care which will cost a lot of $$ if you do the work, but waaaay more $$ if you are paying someone else. It sounds like this car is pretty effed up to begin with. Have you tried taking the car to a mechanic to look at the codes & possible fixes?
