my buddies got an 89 accord. when he starts it up, it idles at about 2g's, and goes down to about 1 and a half after the car warms up...i know it should be like 800, but have no idea how to fix it or possibly the cause of it...he needs to get it fixed to get that **** registered...could i possibly dick with the throttle cable? any suggestions would help greatly

 

There's always a screw that adjusts how high or how low that car idles... try that, it should be right next to that little piece that turns when you accelerate!!!

Just in case you did'nt fully understand all that technical talk ... It's on the throttle body.

 

i need to know if it is DX LX carburated or LXI fuel injected it makes a big difference on how to give u help
