hello everybody

this weekend was the first time in 2 years i got down on my car.

removed and cleand my intake manifold / tb / fuel rail/ injectors.
and installed it with new gaskets and injector o-rings.

car idles fine on 800 rpm.

today i took the car 4 a spin and it rev'd itself to 2000 rpm a few times.

what could be wrong?

cable is ok.

idle screw/leaky new gasket (old gaske ot scrapd away good enough) /forgot to connect vaccum lines those are the ones I could think of off the top of my big head. is it surging at all or a steady 2grand?

all vac lines are connected.

let me explain it like this:
i started the car, it idles fine on 800 rpm and it revs good.

but when i reversed through the driveway it suddenly revd up to 2000rpm few times.

i continued driving for about 20 min's car did it once again.

Check you Idle Air Control Valve or IACV if you do a search there's tons of threads on this issue. My car was doing the same thing, this fixed it.
