Default New Nitto DRs

I'm sorry if this has been covered, and if so, please direct me to it. But has anyone had any experience with the new Nitto NT-01 drag radials (link below)? How do they compare with the bfg drag radials?

That's not a drag radial. Nitto's drag radial is the NT-555R. Their NT-01 and NT-555II tires are designed for road courses.

You can read more about Nitto tires here.

I knew you were gonna be the one to respond, haha. But that wasn't really for me to know, just my friend who keeps preaching to me that the nt555r are better than bfgoodrichs drag radials, what do you think tire god?

I'm not that familiar with them. I don't know anyone who has tried the Nittos...

for FWD Applications, the 555r doesn't have a good import size. 205-45-15 I think. so if you are making power, it doesn't really hook. I've owned a set in the past, it didn't hook on my mini me supercharged EF that only ran 13.5s @ 99 mph.

I now own a set of 225-50-15s and they hook a TON better than the nittos ever did.

The nittos seem to be the choice in RWD cars because it lasts longer (harder compound) compared to the BFGs. Get the BFGs, you'll like it. I think there was a site I was looking at, and all the "street tire" hondas that were at the top of the list were running the 225-50-15 BFGs

I should be getting my bfgs mounted soon and I can show you how they hook up. As for the Nittos, I wouldn't waste my money.
