LS/VTEC Oil Leak
I've been noticing that my car has had a oil leak for a little while now but I finally have some spare time to fix it. It gets really bad when I get on the throttle. I know it is coming from the back of the block somewhere but I can't quite figure out where.
I got under the car today and noticed that there was drops of oil on the bottom of the intake manifold. I thought maybe it was the fitting that connected into the sandwhich plate that was leaking so I took it out and put some teflon tape on it. I made sure the mating surfaces were nice and clean as well. Im stumped on where the oil leak is coming from. When I come to a stop after getting on the throttle there is quite a bit of smoke coming out from under my hood from oil dripping onto my header.

what is it with people doing shoddy jobs putting lsvtecs together, causing them to have problems like this?

Ok I found the leak... turns out it wasn't any of the LS/VTEC stuff at all. The machine shop that I took my block to took the fitting that is back behind cylinder #3 off and never put it back on... and when I assembled my motor I completely missed that! Got it all hooked up and its running great now.
