mild steel for turbo mani??
As stated above. is it ok to use mild steel for a turbo manifold or do you have to use stainless??? new to manifold fabrication and just wondering....thanks for all the advice

they both have their pros and cons - corosion, weight, thermal creep, etc, it just goes back and forth. mild works fine if you keep the wall thickness up, you can get it ceramic coated as well if your into the visuals.

i wouldnt go less than 120 wall on 250 flanges - but thats just me, ive seen'em done lighter so im not saying it cant be done, im just speaking from whats worked for me over time on a variety of applications and designs.
