valve lash question for LS??
Hey eveyone. im sure there are alot of "Valve Lash" questions but i got one for the LS motors. Im running a PR4 head B18B block and it calls for a .003 intake and .006 for exhaust. I set them to those settings and Alot of smoke comes out. I think I did the lash LAST TIME for the B18A settings at .007 intake and .008 exhaust and I think that worked fine.
My valves set too tight would make ALOT of smoke come out?? I think im going to try the .008 setting all around for the B18B.
anybody know why the B18B and B18A have different valve lash settings???

not it..... car smokes like a *****. i think i got the valve lash wrong. I dont have a manual.

Intake .003-.005
Exhaust .006-.008
B18C and B16A are:
Int .006-.007
Exh .007-.008
You had it right the first time, so I think the excess oil was your problem, and if it doesn't go away, you may have damaged something like All Motor Coupe said.
