Hydraulic Jack question
Hi everyone:
Sorry if this has been answered....I use search button but found nothing.
I am planning to buy a Michelin Speedy Lift Hydraulic Jack, 2 ton(4,000 lbs) max hight is 14" and 14" 2 ton stands (found a good deal in Canadian Tire).
is this a good enough jack for repair my 2000 accord 4dr ?
or should I buy a bigger one ?
I don't want to get kill yet, so I am asking from pros.
Thanks in Advance.

It will be more than sufficient for what you need it for. As mentioned elseware, I would HIGHLY recommend you invest in a set of Jack Stands as a precaution. I lost a good friend 'cuz he did't use them. Car came down on him, right in front of his wife. Crushed his chest and he suffocated.
Work smart, work safe

P_Adams - thank you so much and man sorry to hear your "lost friend", I am kind of scared to get under the car, yes BLKFLSH they are so close to my chest.
So I will buy jack stands too with it.
thanks guys

No matter how good the stands (or ramps) are, you can always screw it up.
After you get the car up on the stands, check it carefully to be sure it's secure. It's possible to lower a car onto a jackstand at a funny angle, so the stand is just about ready to topple. Check it real good before crawling underneath.

What kind of repairs are you looking to do??? If you're just doing everyday maintenance and the like
But definitely invest in some jack stands.

One other point I'd like to make.
IF at all possible, jack the car while it's on a hard surface such as concrete or asphault. It is the most stable way to do it.
If you MUST jack the car on dirt, place a 1'x1' square of plywood under both the Jack AND the Stands for footings.
