just got my swap done and its got a 3k idle from a cold start. also it drops to 1k then shoots back up to 3. its not a fast idle, it stays at 3k for 4-5 sec then drops to 1k for 2-3 sec then goes back up to 3k. it does that untill the motor warms up. once its at normal temp, its fine. idle stays above 1k but i guess thats ok. This is a much higher idle than my z6 so im scared someting might happen to the motor. i need help, dont want to blow my gsr motor.

Check and make sure you have the hose's going to the right ports of your IACV. If those are correct than you may want to remove the IACV and clean it with some carb cleaner.

 

start the car and spray some starting fluid around the tb first if the car revs up then your gaskets is leakng then move on the the im gasket all the way around also check your hoses are connect right
