what do u mean by 'internal' swap?
swapping out the internals of a b16 into the d16 or just swapping the motors?
if ur just wanting to swap, it's been done.

why would want to swap internals??
Just swap a b16 in there. that would be nice. and yes, i have an 87 teg LS to go alone with my 92 gsr. Mine 87 LS has 300,000 miles all original.
A while back in Honda Tuning Magazine, there was a white 89 teg LS that the guy swapped a ITR engine and turbo'd it.
damm it looked so good and very clean.
but a b16 will do just fine.

just so that yall do know it is possible to put the b16 internals in a d16 its just finding the wright parts and people to do it. i was thinking about dropin in a h22 short block but im just not sure if its worth the time and truble
H22?? are you kidding.. that thing is huge and too heavy for that car.. and im sure a lot of work..
seriously, you can buy a complete b16 swap for $1000-$2000..
a b16 in a 89 Integra?? haha.. SLEEPER!!! lol
that thing would be fast! and fun to drive.

yes the h22 is heavy but for the cost you will get better horse power for the money with sun rise motors in ca the h22 with trany and ecu and every thing else to make it run is 2200 to were the b16 just motor alone is same price as the h22 with every thing
hondaswap.com has a nice writeup for what you need to get a B16 in there. I have an 89 with 176k on it as well and I looked into that option. You don't need a whole lot, just a few custom things and various parts from various cars and you'll be fine.
