Default loose e-brake

I'm having a problem with my emergency brake. The handle is extremely loose. It works, but it has alot of play in it. I'm not sure if something just needs to be adjusted or if theres something wrong with my rear braking system. Fluid level is fine, so its not that. Anyone know what this could be?

Yup. The emergency brake works on a cable system, there is no fluid involved. Just pop off the center console by the e-brake and you can see exactly how to tighten it. It's self explanatory.

Take a gander. The big silver thingy works on a bolt and a spring. If u tighten the bolt the stiffer it gets. but dont quote me on that cuz i could be wrong

Thanks for the help. I'll try it tonight, and see if that helps.

Well, I'm quoting you.

Because you are correct. Don't tighten it TOO much because a few turns will make a VERY loose handle into a pretty tight one.
