leaking gas tank, well i think...
I would start it up and see if you might have a cracked fuel line. Otherwise put a piece of cardboard under the car to see if you have any spots on it after a couple days.
Are you sure your just not forgetting how much gas you put in there?

nah man, i know i had a full gas tank when i got back from milwaukee cause i gassed when i was about home and the next morning my gas is down a quarter tank. now im at 90 miles on the tank and im almost halfway...i guess i'll try the carboard under the car thing.
it's real common for the seam on the side of the tank to rust out on these cars. it may be a beater, but a tank is 100 bucks, you'll save that in gas over the winter. gas prices are down, but it's still not free.

just get a single flair tool (it's really cheap) and cut your line on each side of the rust. you can get stuff that's bent right from the dealer, but it's expensive. just go to some auto parts store, they sell straight sections, fittings, and unions to join the fittings.
i know exactly where you're talking about, i had to replace those lines when my tank started leaking. where in wisconsin are you?
