so i just finished my ls/vtec and i have my old 2.5 turbo exhaust on with the stock cat...i have 12 compression motor...and when i smash blackish smoke comes out....oh also i blew my old motor with that exhaust...could it be the old crap inside burnin up n gettin cleaned out??....it also smells like fuel but i pop my hood and everything is koo and no smells....hopefully its just the high compression and old exhaust? i just finished the car yesterday too so maybe i need to give it some time?? any help appreciated

so maybe its just running rich, do u have any fuel rails or anything added on this motor?

 

sounds like its rich tuning will help if not completely fix this.

 

awesome yea i dont have any type of fuel rails or regulators....definitely getin it tuned ......will it be pretty safe for now??

yes you'll be ok better rich and retarded then lean and advanced isn't that the saying for tuners?

 

dang it really stinks like fuel at stops i almost cant take it i wonder if i put a stock exhaust on it wont smell so bad...

 

if you can smell the fuel then you definitely are running rich...there is no way around it but get the car tuned.

RUnnign rich can casue you some problems.....mainly destroying your cat. That is of course if you are still running one.
