you need 1991 civic hatchback rails!! i just put some jdm seats in my 1991 hatch and it was the biggest pain in the ***. I had to swap pans and recliners. it is so hard to swap recliners cause you cant pull back the backrest cover cause it rips so I had to squeeze my hand up there and it was not easy. So if the 1991 civic rails dont work then your gonna have to swap pans.

the thing is that i traded my stock seats for CRX Si seats with my friend....so basically i still have both sets around....so i have to make my stock seats fit in his crx and make the Si seats fit in my hatch?

I just got done switching the seats from one of my CRXs to another. I have a 1990 CRX HF that I had some really nice 90 CRX SI seats in that I wanted to switch into my new CRX (rice_classic's 88 si with a really nice b16 swap.) It had one 88 si passenger seat in it that wasnt in that nice a shape and a red Tenzo Type R racing seat (for sale now... make me an offer, its in really good shape and comes with a 88 crx mount). Because of the difference between the 88 and 90 seat brackets I had to swap the pans on the seats. To make things the easiest I just took off the upholstery and swaped everything I needed to, including the recliners. The hardware that is holding the upholstery on was simply some wire loops, I cut those and took everything apart, and then swapped what needed to be swapped, then assembled it all back together. Instead of using the wire, I just used zip ties, it worked out really well.

from what I understand all honda seats have similar seat pans. swap the seatpans with the rails from the std to the si seats. you have to separate the seats in order to put in the recliner.
oh and use this for reference it helps a lot.

i already swapped it....the civic pan is like 10times more narrow then the crx pan...so that bolt on the side doesn't line up...i only have the recliner side all bolted up and lined up!

When I did the swap it was both between CRX seats, I don't know if there are any differences in size/shape with the HB seats.
