Default ot: motor swap ?

I asked this in the hybrid section, and nobody knew...

if I have a 01 gsr motor going into a 94 gsr, will the 01 engine harness plug into the 94 dash harness?

I don't think it will, because of the obd1 vs 2.. but I need to know before I buy this motor

IF you have the 01 GSR engine wiring harness, then everything will plug in!

IF NOT, then you have to change the distributor, injectors, etc....to OBD1..

easiest way is get the OBD2 wiring harness, it will plug in your 94 GSR...and no need to add any OBD2 extra wires.

good luck

no don't use the 01 gsr wireharness in your 94

do you have the 94 engine wireharness etc?
if so can distributors over to new (01) motor, only thing that won't plug up to the engine is the grank fluctuating sensor (you don't need it, it's run in the dist. on 94's)

then plug an play

I know that the Civic SI has 2 wire's that comes off the body harness and goes through the floor under the heater core for the second O2 sensor. This isn't on the engine harness on the SI. Does the OBD2 GSR have this also. . I can't remember. Sorry for the ot question someone in my area asked me and I can't remember........

The 01 harness plugs in. Use that along with the 94 GSR ECU. END OF STORY.
