Why is it my head bolts get tight before they even hit the head?? (d16y8)
OK i have a d16y8 and iam installing a head on it but when i go to tighten the bolts in they get tight even before they hit the head i mean iam lost i dont know whats up i even got these bolts from a sohc motor..
Are vtec sohc and non vtec sohc head bolts different or somthing please some one shed some light on this for me.. thanks

He said they wont tighten so how could he tighten them?? think..... bolts only can go in straight unless u cross thread them and this doesnt happen with threading them on by hand it happens with either using air or by using a socket and getting it in straight....... if u tightned them by hand then you proble have the wrong bolts. take them out and look for metal on the bolt or in the whole if u stripped the block your sol my friend...... come talk to me i have some d16y8 headbolts 4 sale ill set u straight
