I just got my fuel cell. Its a 5 gallon aluminum cell. I will take pictures of it tommrrow to show, and pictures of the inside of car. Now I am not sure where I should mount the cell. Does anyone have pictures of where you mounted your fuel cell. I am planning on running Honda Challenge, so I been reading the NASA rule book. So if anyone has any pictures of a NASA approved installed fuel cell.

THanks

The safest way would be to cut out the shape of the cell out of the floor. Build a cage around the cell, drop the cell in, and build some sort of firewall.

On my CRX, I cut the floor area above the stock tank out and made a full steel box bottom to put my 10 gallon tank in shown here.

I have an aluminum box over the top to serve as the mandatory bulkhead but don't have any photos of it completed that I know of. I'll see what I can dig up.

Are you sure that 5 gallons is going to be enough? I am surprised with my recent fuel consumption and think that you will be filling a 5 gallon cell nearly every single session.

Are you serious?

Mine must have been at least twice that.

Is that lapping or racing?

So you are saying you would burn thru a FULL TANK of gas in 1 hour? It wasn't a stock or ITA spec D16A6 then....
