knocking noise from GSR head?
i have a 96' Integra GSR head on my b16 and i am hearing this knocking noise coming from my head. It almost sounds like the injectors and speeds as the RPM's ar higher. What is really weird is that i have Toda valvesprings and ti retainers with s2s2's so i dont know what could've happened. I just got the car towed home to prevent further damage (just in case). Im about to take my valevcover off, is there anything i should look out for?? any ideas??
thanks in advance,
Marcus

Obviously the first thing you want to check is your valve lash, make sure theyre right where they should be. Next thing, since youre right there, should be to check your Lost motion assemblies. Simply apply a bit of pressure on them, forcing them to contract and release. They should 'spring' right back up. If you feel any hesitance pushing them down, you may have a problem there. A mechanics stethoscope is a good tool to have in situations like these.

yeah i caught it REALLY early. the sound scared the **** out of me and i haven't driven it since. im going to be putting in another stock b16 block in it tomorrow and eventually selling the car so im not planning on fixing my block. i wonder if i would be able to sell it the way it is....
