Dash mount radio control question...
Is it possible to continue to use the stereo controls that are mounted to the left of the steering wheel when upgrading to an aftermarket head unit? Is so, how? And are there any special parts needed/available to complete this project? I am a Prelude owner, and view that forum quite often. I'm asking this question on behalf of a friend of mine who owns an S2K and is interested in audio upgrades but doesn't want to part with those separate controls. Any help is greatly appreciated...
THANKS!

I think it does depending on how your head unit controls it. It does more then the standard controls can do...

"Q - What iPod commands are supported by the DCI?
A - That's really a function of your head unit, not the DCI. In most cases the DCI performs navigation commands for Next/Previous Track and Next/Previous Disk/Folder. When using the factory hand-held remote those same buttons operate the iPod, then the DCI will too. Sometimes head unit manufacturers don't put the iPod commands on the remote, which forces you to use the controls on the head unit to perform iPod commands, whether you're using a DCI or not."
