Aftermarket steering wheel + cruise control
What did you guys with an aftermarket steering wheel do about the cruise control switches that are mounted on the factory wheel?
Did you just move it?

Re: Aftermarket steering wheel + cruise control (maztur)
Good question, I've often wondered the same thing...
I think you could mount the controls somewhere else, like on your dash somewhere...
I've never seen anyone whos done it though...
bump for more info!!

I bet i could put it somewhere, but I wanna see if anyone has done something 'different'
Basically, i want it to look as factory as possible.

I'm sure you can still probably get it on your aftermarket steering wheel if you get innovative and learn to play with some fiberglass or something. I have a momo steering wheel on my EX (from previous owner) He took the cruise control off. I would've loved to have had it and figured something out. I'm actually considered going back to factory because of the cruise control though.

my "aftermarket" steering wheel is from an s2000
same diameter of any momo wheel, built in cruise controls, and airbag so I'm legal at the smog referee stations here in atlanta.
I just simply rewired the cruise to work with the s2000 buttons and away I went.

bump/back from the dead
anyone have or know what color wires are set and resume, and even the horn for a 96 civic sedan?

Most of the guys with the aftermarket steering wheels are in such rushes to race the 90 year old geezer in the '88 buick to the next red light they don't think about the cruise control too much.
I suppose you can rig up a bracket w/ 2 buttons - just get a wiring diagram and re-route the wires. I'd put the bracket under the seat or something so it doesn't look queer as **** when you have a hole cut out in ur dash - but whatever floats your boat I suppose.
