Default hooking up sfc

ive looked online and searched but i cant find my answer

i built a mini me (a6/z6) and now im hooking up my field sfc to control the vtec and other stuff (yeah im cheating)

my question is that since im using the stock ecu that doesnt put put a vtec signal should i just run the wires from my sfc directly to the vtec solenoid? would that work?

any feedback is welcome, but im sick of hearing stuff like "dont mess with your vtec crossover" haha
