All, I just picked up my second CRX, an 89 1500 (stock) 5 speed. Runs find but idles low & the CEL is now on. Pulled the pax cover plate & with the key on, the ECU flashes 12 times in a row & repeats. It is not displaying 1 flash, then a pause, then two flashes, but 12 consecutive flashes. Any ideas?

I didn't jump any plugs, leads or wires. As I recall, retrieving codes is simply a matter of access the ECU LED, then turning the ignition key to on & counting the flashes.

So is it accurate to assume that the 12 consecutive flashes represent a code of 12, or is 12 typically indicated by one flash, a delay, then two flashes?

I'm going to assume that the 12 in-a-row flashes are for TC 12, which is EGR related.

12 flashes equals code 12.

Not sure how to troubleshoot this one sorry.
