1988 Crx Si stock trans:::::

my trans started makein that rattlin noise about 3 weeks ago.....i figured it was the throw out bearing....so i bought a new clutch kit....ok well after i installed it, the noise was still there jus not as loud...my throwout bearing broke on the part were it meets the bearing fork....i was reading up and saw that it might be my mainshaft/innershaft bearin inside my trans.....i was wonderin if anyone knew about how long b4 my trans takes a crap........im not driving it hard at all, just normal.......thanks

Crap someone already beat me to the smart *** answer. I thought maybe more like 2 weeks. 5 days 21 hours and 33 seconds.

How silly is it to ask someone on the internet who can't see, hear, or examine your tranny how long it will last. Hell even if I was there who can say how long? If it is broke, fix it.

Well mine sounds like crap, been to 2 track events about 4 months ago and it still sounds like crap. I'm sure that when it goes out, Kevin will just say I told you since he is the one that said you need to get that fixed or get you LS in cause this thing sounds terrible.

So I say 5 months 2 days 48 seconds approx 8012.3 miles.

 

well thanks for all the replys and smart *** comments everything is appreciated........the car drives fine it jus make noise...so im guessin not to much longer, but i jus got a jdm L3 Si trans so im not worried..thanks a lot

I didn't know those existed.

 

they very well do exist this is gona be my second one at 270 wit around 50,000 or under? thats better then payin for a rebuild...they fell very nice too...im not to sure what they come on but i think Dohc zc had them not sure what else

 

ive seen crappy transmission bearings go farther then the car will. its nothing to worry about so keep driving your car, nothing is gonna happen.
