Default Help!! keep blowing fuses

I have a 95 coupe ex. today i decided to swap my ricer pos tail lights for my OEM ones. it worked fine, went to school no problem, went to work no problem. get outa of work and to my car.. and i cant get the shifter out of park. figed out how to pull it out with the shift lock release.

get home, turns out i blew the stop/horn fuse. it had a 30amp in and was workin great. i replace it and blow it instantly. tryed the 20 for ***** and giggles and blew right away. ive been through about 10 fuses right now, i have my console pulled a part.

now i dont think its the brake switch cause i keep blowing a fuse. so i have no i dea whats going on.. all wires are intact, but the lever to release the shifter still sticks cause im blowing fuses. any help is appreciated. im gona bring it in to my friends shop tomorrow to check it out.

have you tried any more 30's or did you just keep trying lower and lower numbers?

theres a short somewhere. look around in your audio console to see if any wires are touching. that was where my problem was when my rear tail lights went out. it was due to a short coming from my disconnected radio.

the short was in your radio, which caused your brake lights to stop working? ive had a issue with my running lights and gauge cluster but is fixed temp. might that have anything to do with the brake light fuse blowing? i know somewhere theres a short. but i havnt a clue where..

ok well, it turns out my spoiler wires basicly melted.. (they never worked to begin with) which caused the short to my brake lights and running light fuses. so all is fixed. And now i have another reason to pull out the spoiler other then the screws are rusted in.

what do you guys do to plug the holes from the spoiler? just metal and weld/Jb weld it on to plug the holes? any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
