Buzzing Sound in 4th & 5th gear?
When driving normally, 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears sound fine. When I get to 4th or 5th, there will make a low buzzing sound when gear is engaged. Happens when foot is on and off the accelerator. In neutral, revving engine will not reproduce sound. Any idea what is going on? TIA.
I get this too on the freeway at around 4K, but the buzzing is usually coming from the hatch area (the exhaust resonates a bit too much I suspect). Can you tell where exactly the buzzing is coming from?
It isn't VTEC engaging. That is way louder compared to what I am referring to.
This is like a Zzzz sound when at 2-3k but only in 4th and 5th gear. You can hear it when accelerating and when you take your foot off the throttle. Is it the tranny or the exhaust? If it's the exhaust, why do I not hear it in 1st 2nd and 3rd gears? Low tranny oil?

Was about to ask the same question. Just had clutch job done and now when I engage in gear, I get this low buzzing sound. Not real loud, but you can hear it. When not in gear, you don't hear it. 92 Integra LS
