HELP!!!!!!!!!! VTEC PROBLEM!!!!
You usually won't hear a sohc engage vtec if it's set at the right rpm. A very short intake will help you hear it, since it's just intake that changes.

WRONG
In order for vtec to work, a few conditions have to be met, and I know these are some
1. The car has to be warmed up
2. The speed has to be over something like 26 MPH
3. the throttle has to be at or near wide open (most likely to avoid cruising in VTEC on the highway)

31flavors is right.
The car needs to be warmed up, you need to be going over 20 mph (i think, something like that), throttle has to be above 80% engaged, you need to have oil in the engine, and also need to have oil pressure.
So in order to engage, you need to have a tps!!!!!!!!!!!!!!11!!!!!!!. End of story, you must have it.
