idle problem help!!!

idle problem help!!!
i have a b16 swap in my 97 hatch and my idle jumps from 1000 to 2000. this happens when the car is cold and or warm, if i put my hand over the throotle body covering it up the car idles perfect. is it a vacume leak?? all the help possible
