Last night I got pulled over for the second time for my apexi N1 exhaust. Each time I was pulled over it wasnt from it being loud it was just them seeing this huge 4" tip muffler. So what im saying is I can still have a loud exhaust just needs to appear stock.

Now I have a brand new stock muffler that I can put on but im worried its going to rob me of power considering I also have a stock cat. Do you think I should A) cut open the muffler and take out the insides, B) leave muffler alone and hollow out cat, or C) both.

 

D. buy one of the Es oval mufflers that look stock

 

On a budget right now...maybe someone would be willing to trade for my apexi n1? Have to pay 180 for tickets and I have to remove my tint I just spent 200 on within 9 days

 

I am REALLY interested in knowing if anyone on here has opened up their stock muffler and welding a piece of straight pipe in there. I've always wanted to do it but never researched it.

well I have heard of both, welding a straight pipe and just cutting it open and taking all the insides out and welding it back up so that it is hollow...I saw a thread on here a few months back where somone did this but I cant seem to find it

 

comon I know somone out there has utilized there stock muffler somehow... if anyone has any pics or links to threads please post...

 

Install an Ecutout. End of story.

 

As I have stated before I am on a budget right now, just thought I could make use of the stock muffler using my fab skills...

Why are you getting tickets for a legal exhaust? And why did you put illegal tint on your car? Are you stupid? Your car isn't making jack **** for power, so having a completely stock exhaust isn't going to rob you of dick. Put an OEM axleback on it and get on with your life.

Doing things right costs money, but stupidity - as you have proven - is even more costly.

You must be really desperate for... something man. Honestly you're gonna be making a whole 2hp with an exhaust?? Get yer priorities straight... save up money and do it right.

 

Im getting tickets for my exhaust because where I live crime is low and cops have to get paid for doing something around here. And I put tint on my car for many reasons, sun getting in my eyes, privacy, looks ect. Legal tint which is 35% isnt even tint, you can barely tell its there. Just because I bought a apexi n1 and didnt know about how much cops are dicks in my area proves I am stupid? What is wrong with this damn site, its nothing but flaming You do have a point about the tint, yeah im a jackass for getting it thinking I wouldnt get caught.

And im sorry if I am tryin to make power out of my motor and get the best track times as possible, just seems a stock muffler is so restrictive I dont think my b20z is going to like it... it needs to breathe you know. If stock mufflers barely rob any hp why do people buy aftermarket exhausts?
