Default 91 civic si

i am planin to buy a 91 civic si and turbo it but its got 157k miles who i do any damage to the motor if i had it a like 6 to 8 psi on the stock motor?

it depends. 5-6 psi is usually safe. but its best to rebuild it first though.

well if i put it at 5-6 psi and had a good tune what numbers would i be thrown down

if you have not bought the car yet i would go and do a compression check to see if if it throws up good numbers or at least consistent. if you have good consistent numbers then start to turbo. a good rule of thumb is for every PSI you gain about 10 psi and 13 on a good tune. but this is all bullshit because it all depends on everything you have. from the pipes to the turbo to the tune to the injectors to ic everything has some effect. so id say if you had a great tune and correct equipment an a6 should yield you 16xish hp but if you have a good motor it should handle 9-10 psi fine but thats the max which would put you over 200 hp.
