window regulators and carbs
hey im driving a 1988 honda accord lx and i was wodnering were i can get a new carborator and 2 new window reglators for front driver and passangers sizeds of my car. and also how to install them?
id suggest just going to your nearest auto parts store and ordering those regulators so you can definitly get them soon and know their ok, you can order a new carb from there too, such as your nearest Advanced Auto, AutoZone, Nappa, or Kitrells(they usually mess things up with your order) so dont go with kitrells unless you have to, but they should be able to get you what you need, installing it is your part, you could buy them and take them to a auto shop and it wont be as much as it was gonna be, just the labor.
While your at the auto parts store get a repair manual. Follow the directions for the regulators. While you have the regulators out of the doors clean the run channels and lube them up with silicone spray and a Que-tip.
Hey, honda wanted $210 for regulators. That's why when my window would stop an inch and a half from the top, I drilled three more holes and raised the regulator up 2 inches. I would not go all the way down after that, but some car's rear windows don't go all the way down anyway, and I saved $210. Now I can save some more by switching to geico haha.
