h22 problems
ok, so i've been trying to get my accord running right for a couple months now and still no such luck. here's the setup, 2000 h22a4 motor going into 1995 accord lx that was converted from auto to 5spd. I'm running a chipped p28 with a p13 map (obd1). here are the problems I'm running into, I get codes 3, 7, 16, 21. they are for the map, tps, injectors, and vtec solenoid. problem number 2, when the car warms up fully, the radiator fan doesn't turn on, I jumped the clip to the fan to see if it work, and it does, I can't seem to figure out why it doesn't want to come on and also when it's warmed up it seems to idle at around 300rpm, lastly, I've had multiple opinions about this blake (98vtec), said it might it might be running on only 3 cylinders as it sound like the exhaust has a slight pulse to it. I'm going to get 2 other basemaps tomorrow to see if it is the chip thats bad, and I'm attempting to troubleshoot all the electrical problems, but at this point I've just gotten a bit frustrated and would like some help and opinions from the online gurus. Sorry for the long post, any and all help is greatly appreciated.
ok so I used blunders map, and all I get now is a code 22 whch is vtec pressure switch, turns out the wire ripped out, that's the only code thrown. But I still have two problems, the radiator fan doesn't turn on, so I think it's either the relay or the thermo isn't opening up, and I'm still idling really low somewhere at around 200-300 rpms, when I try to hold the rpms steady at 2k or 3k, the rpms will hit that mark drop, and go back up. I think that might be a vaccum problem, hopefully. Good news is that it doesn't go into safe mode at all. Any other suggestions?
ok so and update as far as ecu goes.......I got all the codes taken care of, so no more of that. but she's till running low idle and no fan, I'm still in the process of checking the vaccum diagrams and doing the condensor fan troubleshooting guide, I'll update asap.
CHeck your coolant temperature sensor. The ECU receives a signal from it to turn the radiator fan on when the coolant reaches a certain temperature. I've seen this problem MANY times, many of them have not shown any codes.

i have a question. im running a h22 in my 01 integra. i took off my butterflies and the IAB box. im running a chipped p13 Spoon ECU with no check engine light. my first and second gears is fine but when i click 3rd i have a red line at 6500. my redline on my ECU is at 8,500. why do i have a redline at 6500 in 3red gear? can anyone help me out. thanks..

with the low idle have you messed with the idle screw on the throttle body

with the low idle have you messed with the idle screw on the throttle body
