gsr swap didnt start...
i did my swap and after, the car wouldnt start. the motor and tranny is OBD-1 gsr B18C1. the car was a 93 cx non-vtec. we swapped everything in and it was a complete swap. i dont know what might be the problem. the spark was sparking and it cranked but didnt start. there was a leak of coolant between the head and block on the edge of the motor closest to the tranny in the front. the only thing we didnt do was wire for vtec, wire for O2 sensor, and wire for the knock sensor. can those be the problem to the motor starting up??? all gaskets and water pump was replaced brand new as well
The wiring wouldnt cause it not to start. Do a compression test, check the timing, check spark plugs, make sure its getting fuel. Do you mean its leaking coolant from the headgasket?
timing was done correctly by mechanic. spark plugs are good. we compression tested it and we got numbers all over every valve. around 135-105-110-165...something like that. i dont remember. we didnt check the fuse or main relays yet. the head gasket was replaced before i got the motor but someone told me that its normal for water to leak when you first swap (not sure though) but its from the head gasket area. does the distributor have anything to do with the motor not starting since the piece that ties down the distributor is broken on top. its where a larger screw and bolt holds down the distributor to the head.
id check the main relay first because i had that problem also when i did a swap for a buddy. if that is not the problem check to make sure all your connections are conected and fuzes are good..

i'll probably check later when i try to swap in again. i've already swapped the stock motor back in and its running fine, but the gsr didnt want to start. with my stock motor running and working, can the problem with the gsr still be main relay or ground wires??? how do i tell if head or block is bad like blown or something? with a bad compression, does it makes the motor not start as well???

Looks like a blown head gasket between 2 and 3. Could be the problem.
