Default help, my car is gonna blow!!

Ok, here's the deal.
I have crappy dc sports headers and intake, thats it for the engine. I was driving on the freeway and when i exited the car started to blog really bad. Rpms when low causes the car to vibrate like crazy and it seems like my car is going to stall. Car starts to warm up, now it stalls. While I was driving on the freeway, my check engine and ATTS light comes up. So everytime rpm drops, the car shakes like crazy and stalls unless I keep the rpms up. I get home and by now, the engine is loud as hell. I smell exhaust fumes and I see theres a crack in the headers, which would probably explain the smell. But would this throw off my ATTS and cause the car to blog like that? Would this cause my car to stall as well? Plz help me out, I'm about to head out to a muffler shop to have them weld my header back. Its a hairline crack on the weld spots. I know its a crappy header, came with the car, i hope this is the case so I can buy new headers.

Hmmm, this is a wierd one. You drove the car normally and all of the sudden it started acting this way?

This is just a wild guess but can you take off your cat and cat-back exhaust system and see if the car behaves the same way? I am guessing the cat is clogged....but again, that's a guess.

On 4th gen's the blue plug is behind the console where the stereo is, I'm not sure about 5th gens, but I'd assume close to the same place or the box on the floor by the passenger's side kick panel

In regards to your ATTS light coming on... I just read plude99's response to someone else with this:
<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by plude99 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">...The car pops the Check Engine line because of this. Then the ATTS light lights up about 3 or 4 seconds later because the car computer locks out all other communication. So the ATTS can't talk to the computer so its light comes on</TD></TR></TABLE>

in other words something is causing your CEL to come on... and well its self explanatory ^^ I dont know if thats ^^ 100% accurate but hope that helps a bit

ok so i went to my muffler shop to weld in the crack on the header. Then that didnt do anything so the mechanic next door came over. He said it doesnt sound good. You can hear air hissing so it may be a bad valve. Oh 5th gens on the right side of the stereo console, you pop out a carpet cover and obd2 sensor thing is there. I got code 74, which is misfire on cylinder 4. Mechanic also said it may be the timing belt might have jumped. So i guess I have to take it to a shop to be sure

Oops, i'm under my friends name, but i'm fobstylez.

turn your engine by hand and see if the cam gears are still lined up. remove the valve cover and driver side wheel, and use socket wrench (17mm or 19mm?) to turn the engine until the cam marks are in the center. they should line up if your belt is still on the right teeth. it sounds like a bent valve, my friend's 97 base had a bent valve and had the same symptoms, too bad he bent 14 of the valves! the dreaded 11k rpm/3rd -&gt; 2nd gear mis-shift strikes again...
