Is there something wrong with my car? I just got new headers put in Dc Sports 4-1 and it was freaking hard as hell, bein my first time and all. Well Anywaise I didnt put the last bolts on by the cat Conver because its just the safe gaurd right? well anywaise after done and all when i start my car it sounds like I have a exhaust but I dont and I forgot to change the gasket so I still gotta do that yet but it feels like my car doesnt Pull as hard but I do here Vtec at about 5300..to make it a lil easier did I install my headers wrong? because it feels like I am losin horse because it doesnt pull as hard as it did..I also have a dc sport intake..any help whats the deal with my car or am I just parnoid? thanks

 

you most likely have an exhaust leak, due to the lack of using all the nessacery hardware. you might want to use that last bolt you were talking about.

 

those two bolts are just to have a safe hold on the header but it was a Bitach to put on so we didnt do it. One day when I started my car I looked under my car and I saw smoke between the end of the header and the cat converter..should I be really worry about this because I am gettin a exhaust and a a new converter. thank ur advice is appreacited.

 

By any chance, did you forget to plug your O2 sensor back in? Or did the wires get pulled out of the plug(happened to me, true story) and you put them back in wrong?

 

Also, by not hooking up the header to the cat, you now have no exhaust. That is how my civic was when I got it(connected with a coathanger, didn't work)

 

there wasnt a 02 sensor to plug in for 4-1 header..imma check again today tho but I am pretty postive that there wasnt a plug in for the 02 sensor tho..I did hook up the header to the car but it still sounds like i dont have a exhaust but I still do have the stock exhaust on..imma check every again today though and hope i find the solution..
