Default Finally got my ITR running again and tuned, 243whp graph inside

So, this whole project started more or less a year ago after i had been driving my ITR with I/H/E and VAFC tuning for a while, I got the itch for more power

And when i stumbled upon a good deal on a Dart talldeck block things started to get going. I decided to go for the following setup : 92mm stroke and 85mm bore with ~12.3:1 CR. The parts list ended up as follows :

Dart talldeck block bored to 85mm
Crower 92mm forged crank
85mm CP pistons custom RM spec 2.5cc dome (coated by Tbone )
5.89" Cunningham rods
ACL race bearings
ITR head ported by Alaniz (Competition port job + chamber upgrade)
Omnipower complete valvetrain/valves
Toda Spec C cams and camgears
Custom Hytech header
Hytech 2.5"exhaust with cat
OEM ITR intake manifold
68mm RPM TB
RC 440 cc injectors
ARP headstuds
Cometic MLS 0.030"
Mugen Air Cleaner Box
Power Enterprise blue belt (Meziere water pump block off modified for a stock length belt to work)
Outlaw Thermoblok kit
Denso Iridium plugs
ATI Race Super Damper
Removed P/S and A/C
ATS clutch and flywheel
Apexi Power FC and FC Datalogit
PLX M-300
Endyn breather kit
Davies Craig electric water pump and controller
ES and Prothane mount inserts

I have done all the work myself, engine has been built @ home in my appartment.( no garage, or girlfriend )Here's a pic from engine assembly :

Because of lots of time waiting for parts to show up, and a pretty busy work schedule I did not get the car running this summer, but that's no biggie now after finally getting it on the road again, it's a blast to drive compared to my old setup which made 196whp on the same dyno. The car had basically been sitting since the middle of November last year when the stock clutch took a crap and died on me, so it's a very good feeling to be able to take it out for a spin again.
So, here's the dynosheet, the results from last year (stock B18C6 with bolt-ons, link to that setup : https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=949676 ) are also on the graph for comparison:

On this pull we stopped at 8200, but later did a couple more to 9000, but power peaks at 8100-8200, and starts to drop again after 8400. VTEC is set to 6800 and we set the limiter to 8800. Had a couple more pulls at 240+ but this was the highest one.

And here's the torque graph, before you start bitching about it jumping all over the place, take a look at the scaling, I basically have over 200Nm (147.5ft/lbs) from 3000 to redline.
220Nm = 162ft/lbs btw.

It' winter over here in Norway now, so that will have to wait until next season, but I plan on trying it just to see what the car can do. The car is setup more for HPDE/trackdays, but I must get a few 1/4 passes in just for fun.

Good Joaerb, mang!

I was wondering when you'd get it done (before me)!

What did your cam gears end up being set at?

And I noticed that the graph says flywheel horsepower, how much would that be at the wheels?

Cams are degreed in according to the spec sheet, and we were running out of time on the dyno so I only got to try to adjust the intake cam +2 and -2 but ended up leaving it at 0 as neither did any good actually, in fact -2 lost 8whp up top. Will get back on the dyno again over the winter sometime, I do have plans for trying another intake manifold as I'm not sure the stock ITR manifold is the best solution on this engine. Maybe I will spend some more time fiddling with the cams then.

Graph says flywheel horsepower, but it IS the output as measured on the hubs, I have noticed that all Dynapack graphs are like this. Trust me, this thing pulls hard, especially from 5k and up, gotta love the Toda midrange.

You and Henrik should get together and have a race

You should get someone to send you a set of skunk2 pro3 cams and test those on your motor too.....

Good #'s, btw!!!

Pro2's, Pro 3's and also Buddy Club 4 & 5 would be interesting to try on this engine, I do have room for more cam, as I can adjust the Toda C's at least +/- 7 without any valve-piston clearance issues. Looks like Rocket spec'ed the pistons with deep enough valve reliefs to run really big cams. And the head has stock size valves as well so valve-valve should not be a problem either.

Very impressive. This setup should pull really hard.

I remember coating those pistons
That thing must fly.. Great job on the motor.. Now when you rebuild throw a short rod with a 100+mm stroke take advantage of all that deck height..
Is this for road race or drag?

Yep, thanks for the coating job man, they sure did look good.

This is a street driven car that also will be used for HPDE/trackdays, so that's part of the reason why I went with a 92mm stroke, on an all out drag car a 98mm stroke or something would be killer but I doubt the reliability of that setup on a street car.
And will try to get it on a drag strip next summer, but there's not that many of those around so it won't be too often I get the chance.

It's the one listed in my sig. a 99 Honda Integra Type-R, here's a pic of the car from a trackday last year :

Yeah that would be nice... there are not some many hardcore NA Honda guys over here... it's all about turbo

Nice numbers btw.

Too bad for you that I switched jobs in March and no longer have access too a machine shop, otherwise it would be no problem making one for you.

ITR beast in Scandinavia!

It's ceramic coating on pistons?

You should ask Tbone about the specifics, but it's some kind of Moly coating on the skirts to reduce friction, and a thermal barrier coating on the piston tops.

We are sending parts to Russia, for that kind coating. As it's now commercial stuff, they work very fast and good. Lay coating on pistons, cylinder head compression chambers. They can coat lot of parts.
