Default why wont my car start?

i got a 91 honda civic SI bone stock. Its a fire recovery car, everything under the hood went in flames the intake the battery the wire harness engine harness distributor, cables; everything. so everything was replaced with all OEM parts straight from the dealer. Everything started fine ran the car with fresh motor oil fresh tune up and parts but all of a sudden the car dosent want to start. anyone have an idea on what can it be if the car was running fine after that massive rebuild..... any ideas? thanks.

What have you checked so far.

Is the starter even engaging, is it turning over?

Have you checked for spark?

Have you checked for fuel pressure?

the car cranks, and sparks get to the engine to a point where the car wants to turn on, but it just dose'nt get to that point; it sounds like if it would be drownding in its own gas. And yes i've checked all of the above.

check to see if you have fuel pressure by loosening the bolt on the right hand side of your fuel filter

i was gonna say make sure your air filter is clean and your timing is set right until you said it wont start after it cools down. i dunno what to make of that, i'm sure someone does...

you might wanna check the air filter and timing anyway. also, how old is your fuel filter?

I am having a very similar problem with my 88 CRX. Except i narrowed mine down to no spark. The next time the car sits for a while and you can't get it to start. Instead of cranking and cranking untill it does. Pop the hood and pull a spark plug wire and hold it near a ground while sombody cranks the car. You should see a spark. Also at this same time, crack your fuel line off and see if there is fuel. From there, it will help determine what is worn out. Electricity flows better when hot then cold. A starter will sometimes do the same thing when cold to hot when wearing out.

4 elements to an engine- Spark, Fuel, Compression, and at the right Time.
