Default B20/VTEC Almost finished... Where do I get oil from?

Ok, my B20/VTEC swap is almost done, and I got all of my stuff... I dropped $80 on 4AN fittings and SS Hoses, and in my haste (and excitement), I put the head on. Now I can't get to the fitting that holds what I believe is the oil temp sensor? Well, regardless of what it is, it's on the back side of the block... Is there a more accessable place to get oil pressure from? I don't want to take the head back off...

I did search, but was unsatisfied with the results found.

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

get a sandwich adapter plate that goes between the oil filter and block, greddy and GE make them makes everything 100 x easier

I appreciate the idea, but for the $80+ for the sandwitch adapter, I'll just take the head back off... I didn't know if there was a more accessable plug in the block that had oil pressure behind it.

Anyone know if there are any other options?

Thanks,

Thanks,</TD></TR></TABLE>

you also run the risk of the fitting snapping off inside the block and losing all of your oil, the sandwich adapter is a fairly cheap and very effective way of connecting oil lines, oil pressure and temp sensors

the sandwitch adapter is 57 bucks and a new headgasket is about 50 bucks ... i think i would rather buy the adapter .... unless you plan on using the head gasket again

Thanks everyone! However... I couldn't wait. I had not yet torqued the head down yet, so I opted to pull it again and see if I thought the gasket was useable... It didn't look any different than it did new, I just went to the local machine shop and they had some 1/4" to 4AN adapters, so I was back in business. I wanted to get this project done as quickly as possible... I only get a few good hours of daylight now that winter is on it's way. In less than a month I'll have a garage (and a house to go with it), but I want to have this sexy beast back on the road in time to drive it there (once before snowfall anyways).

Thanks everyone!

Update... The engine runs so well, much more smoothly than it did before I took the B20 head off! Thanks everyone for the help!
