Default my engine is spiting oil... pls help

last night when i start my car i hear a wierd nois under my hood. It was like something was spiting some kind of fluid. I pop the hood and the sound was coming from the back side of the engine, near the firewall. When i check it there was oil all over at the place under the IM and there is no oil in my motor, DRY .
I'm gonna have the car on the stands now to check it.

Any advice for what i have to check??

1st thing to do is check if any oil filter or oil drain plug gone loose or something...

Is it possible to have bad oil pump and loose so much oil?

Also Check the Oil Cooler (under the oil filter) and Oil sending unit (just above the Oil Filter.

Good Luck

Might be the headgasket. Or maybe the freezeplugs, i don't know where they're on the lude motors, but i think they are by the intake manifold. And yeah check your oil filter to see if it's tighten (hand tighten)

Could be a number of things.

My bet is going on that $2 gasket in the oil cooler. They tend to get dry and crack after a number miles. Had it happen to me a few weeks ago, and it has happened to a few people on here. I think someone may have done a write-up w/ pics on it if you search.

I had an oil sending unit that was leaking oil......it was pouring out of it, right between the metal and the plastic of the sending unit. It looked like it was my filter, because it was pouring down onto the filter. There was a recall on those sending units, because of that very problem. I replaced it, now it's fine.
