THEY ARE SAFE. i work at firestone. do you know how many nankang and wanli tires come in with huge slashes, random nails, and huge bubbles in the sidewall we get? kumho is a reputable tire company. YES, the 711 is the THE cheapest true high performance tire on the market, and YES they are a SUMMER ONLY tire. but they perform very well in the wet, grip well in the dry and for the price, u can afford to burn through a set and not go broke. i own two sets right now. 195/50/15s on my coupe and 205/50/15s on my hatchback. get them. they are a good tire.
but also, if u wanna go and get a cheap set of all season tires. go to firestone and get the LeMans HR they ROCK in the rain and snow and last a good amount of time. dont put them on a set of lightweight weels though, they are a VERY heavy tire, do to their thick sidewall and meaty treadblocks.
i could go on about tires all day, so if u have more questions pm me

I run a wheel and tire shop, mostly dealing in 17"-26". I wouldn't buy or sell Wanli. They do look identical to the Yoko AVS, but it is a cheap segmented tire. They do not hold up, or spin up true the majority of the times. My competitor down here sells a ton of them, his customers usually come tome to get theire crap balanced, and you can just see it on the machine.
Of the 2 I'd pick Nankang, NS1 or the NSII. But I too would pick the Kumho 711 over the Nankang, but not the 712.
Not to start a big tire issue, but there you have it. My opinion.

you a fwaking nuts. hell no.
i got them nasty *** wanksta wanlis and they dont grip for ****. i spin 1st NASTY, and while in gear spin 2nd NASTY, a lil of 3rd to. It doesnt even have to be from a dead stop.. all i have to do is get on it and it starts to spin. im afride to break too
get some kunho 711s, bang for the buck and it fairly reasonable. tires last a while... not 6 months and u get a new set unless ur rich.

Having worked at a place that sold a shitload of cheap tires. DO NOT buy the Wanli's. Nankangs actually are not THAT bad for the price you pay. Of those two definitely the Nankang. I'd try and avoid them both though.

I couldn't agree more. We had a guy at a local shopping selling a ton of crappy wanlis too.
