B16 Burning Oil..
Well my b16 got rebuilt about 3500 miles ago with stock internals and it never stopped burning oil..Luckily my engine builder has a 12000 mile warranty on it! but hes being a real douche bag about fixing the damn problem..Hes beating around the bush saying its my pcv system but i know thats not it.. since the pcv valve has already been replaced twice and all the hoses are correct...He insists it is probably a few exhaust valve seals..Will bad Valve seals make my oil black as dirt and make it burn about a quart every 100 or so miles?? He also used Cromoly rings which im not to happy about.. any input would be great! -Baker
holy crap, thats probably your rings or the head is warped/cracked. i knew someone who had the same problem. it looked like a god damn fog machine when you drove behind him
Yea and i have a test-pipe! my friends cant stand to drive behind me cause of the smell! i wouldnt want to either...Ive taken my car to this dude 5 times and he had it for a week each time..never touched it until the last time when he changed the pcv valve and for some reason...stopped up the breather hose going from the valve cover to the intake...he said it was useless...
Ya we're gonna get someone else to look at it..The guy who put my motor in actually....I did a compression test.. HOT/Cold: #4-150/180 #3-150/180 #2-155/180 #1-150/180...So im guessin its not the rings
