Default H22 or b18?

hey I'm ready to build my 95 civic ex, what do you think is a better route for power and reliability, b18, or H22. Is the H22 worth the trouble?

Well im pretty new to the honda seen but from my knowlegde if you want a reliable and fast engine i would go with the B18. The h22 has more torque and power but its a harder build and im not quite sure how reliable those swaps are.

H22's are not harder builds. They make more power than B18's in stock form and they have amazing torque. The combo of high torque/low weight makes for one helluva ride. btw there's prolly a bazillion posts about this.

like i said im relatively new but from what i have read i seen that h22's are harder builds and it makes sense considering you dont see to many h22 swaps well atleast not as many as b18 swaps but i could be wrong just search.

Not much difference at all in building a b or an h, the main difference is in the install.

Exactly. H series is quite a bit bigger than a B series. I would personally go with a b18c, but that's just me.

me personally i go with the B but thats because i need my car everyday and the swap is fast. if u have time to do an H swap then go for it. i dont know much about the h22 but if u have the time and money to get it go for it.
