Default My distributor hell.....good for a laugh

89 crx si...stock.

Middle of last month the tach was bouncy and the car would sputter at high rpms. No codes though. I talked to my mechanic and searched here and everyone agreed, bad dizzy.

I ordered one for Distributor King. They sent the wrong one. I called him and he next day aired me a the correct one ( ). Put it on, and the car throws a code 9. ****. Get it timed and it still runs a bit funny.

Drive to SC to a friends shop, acts fine the whole way there. One the way back, the car raises hell. Cuts off 11 times in 20 miles. Goes into limp mode 2 miles from the house. Thows code 4, 8 and 9.

I get home, furious, I rip the new dizzy off. Put the old one on....as I unplug the multi pin harness, I notice a loose wire, then another, then another. Turns out, the tard that owned the car before me hacked the harness and ghetto rigged the wiring. All the wires were cut and extended, and barely taped.

I fixed all the wiring properly, extended the harness, reset the ecu........and the car runs ******* perfect. No codes, no stumbling, and no backfiring.

I'm going by the previous owners house tonight and setting his house on fire.
