As projectTeG said, head over to http://g2ic.com. I've posted about this topic a few times over there.

To make it simple, you won't be happy putting HIDs in the stock headlights our cars come with. They'll blind oncoming drivers, who will in turn flash you constantly. They throw the light everywhere. Up, down, left, right, but not really infront of you.

Anyone can feel free to argue with me, but bottom line is our stock headlights were never meant have HIDs installed in them. Retrofit all you want, but they aren't going to diffuse the light correctly. I WILL admit though that I've seen one or two poeple take the projectors for G3 tegs and fit them into the stock headlight housings...and theoretically that should work. Though the lines on our stock headlighs (all those little raised lines on the outside) are still there, but shouldn't really affect the projection of the beam for the most part.

Bottom line, buy a set of the projector headlights. Yah, some poeple think they are ricey, etc. But the main (and basically only) reason I bought them is because I needed a projector for my HIDs.

As for picking up a set/kit, eBay is your best bet.

I could write a lot more, but check this thread http://www.g2ic.com/forums/showthread.php?t=128925 that I posted on, on g2ic. It has some more detailed info about where and what to buy, etc. Hope this helps.

Be warned though. Once you get HIDs, you'll never want to own a car that doesn't have them...

I've also heard, that w/ the JDM 1 piece's w/ HID's is also a bad idea, is this correct?

Because I've always wanted to get a set, either, they needed to be retrofitted, or they would just look bad, I can't remember.

Can someone answer this for me?

Builtt -

Pretty much everything I said about the USDM headlights applies to the JDM headlights (in respect to diffusion of the light, etc). Still really not a good idea to stick HIDs in there...unless you try retrofitting projectors in there, as I also said earlier. I can't guarantee they will work/look/perform correctly like that. But enough with the repitition

LoseR -

What bulbs do you have? I've got the 6000k and I'm just curious from your pics which ones you have. I don't have any pics for examples of what my HIDs look like, but I want to compare none the less.
