A kid beating the **** out of his car and manually shifting an auto could cause it to stop shifting, most likely If it never gave you any problems, and shifted smooth when you had it, it sounds like it's not your problem

if he test drove the car and there was nothing wrong with it, then what he do after is his problems. he probaly did manual down shift and messed up the spring in the tranny... auto trannys are expensive to rebuilt.

or you can get it on hmotorsonline.com. i got mine for around $200-$250

but since you sold the car, it's not your problem. after all, you said the kid "beat the car up" so who knows what he's done to it.

I just wanna call BS on that. You personally witnessed him driving the car as if it was some kinda NASCAR track and his car had the capability to do 200mph. So...not your problem. He could have pushed it to the point where.....well something failed. Keep in mind, he gets in the car to go to the movies. Take a 5 min drive...beating the **** out of it. Goes home...5 min drive....beats the **** out of it. Repeat that for every place he has to go....light to light traffic....etc etc. His car is not going to last long at all.

the other funny thing is he still owes me $400 and a nx wet nitrous kit... hes saying hes gonna take me to small claims court to get the money back for the car and give me the car back when the only thing they would do is make him pay ME. hes pretty dumb

nope, small claims court are always in favor the buyer. not the seller.

if you didn't make him sign a bill of sale, then good look at small claims court.

the only thing you can say is you had a verbol agreement saying that you sold him the car "as-is" and if he didn't like the car, then he shouldnt have drove off with it.

and timing is eveything. if he wanted to give you the car back the next day, then yeah, ur car was probably f'd up. but, if he waited a week or so, then you have a good chance.

but if you did have him sign a contract, then its his loss.

good luck, and expletive small claims court for not doing anything to help me get my 2gs.

all they did was, yes, she owed u money. and that was it. i was like wtf? aint u gonna make her pay up? they said, nope. its up to you to get the money. i said, then why the expletive am i paying you 200 for nothing? 1 year of going back and forth, and all i got is a "yeah, she owes you money".

anyways, just venting.

lol.. take you.. he's gonna get screwed..

he fucked the tranny up.. if it worked fine for you, and when he test drove it, then he did something wrong, and tell him to take it to a shop.. its his problem. not yours.
